Which results in them paying taxes on the donations. So, the leftist orgs that are tax exempt can make their dollars go further than the conservative orgs.

Not arguing with you, just expounding on the result.

And if your conservative group is "shrouded in secrecy," you should most certainly not seek 501(c)(3) status. Gives them a hook to destroy you, and the ability to finish the job.
