GOP Sen. Thad Cochran of Mississippi is facing a spirited challenge from the tea party wing of the party as he seeks a seventh term, with his opponent, state Sen. Chris McDaniel, citing the senators voting record as his reason for running.
I am running primarily because of [Cochrans] inability to follow constitutional constraints on spending, on sovereignty, and other major issues, McDaniel told Newsmax, citing the senators vote last year to re-open the government with a resolution that included funding Obamacare.
Although more Republican senators supported the measure than opposed it, McDaniel said that he would have stood with GOP Sens. Ted Cruz of Texas, Mike Lee of Utah, Rand Paul of Kentucky, and Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania who voted no, and fought that fight.

IGNORANT voters keep electing The Jerry Browns of the world.
“So explain why Boner, from the midwest, has been there as long as he has?
Ignorant voters there too?
Or that fossil McCain. How longs he been in the senate? Most of AZ living off the tit too?”
Most of what you say is very true. The South isn’t alone when it comes to voting it’s own self-interest. My point was that it’s probably going to be a lot harder to get rid of “the old boys” there than elsewhere. A lot of them have died in office like Robert Byrd.Thad Cochran has been in the Senate for 34 years. McConnell and Rockefeller 25 each. Richard Shelby 26. From my perspective, any of them that are beyond their early 70’s or have been there more than a dozen years should not be there no matter what state they are representing.
Yeah but AMERICANS pick our cotton which is far superior and has none of those turd world bugs in it. You still think that we live on Toabacco Road and have pig shit between our toes. I am telling you that everyone that I know despises cochran and if you pay attention in November... you will learn something. If for some reason the republican party cheats... we will write in McDaniels name and elect him anyway... but that will not happen because we have a GREAT Governor who is not haley barbour and is a true Conservative in name and deed. As far as Parchment goes... the feds have turned it into a resort for criminals.
The south is no different than the rest of the country in this regard.
How long have the good ladies from CA been in office? How old are they?
Incumbants are seldom replaced. No matter the state of their origin.

“IGNORANT voters keep electing The Jerry Browns of the world.”
No kidding! It is sad to see just how far we have fallen from the days when Ronald Reagan was our governor. Sadly, at my age, I doubt if I will live to see California regain the position as the number one state in the nation again. With all the immigrant trash, it may never happen. At the same time just look at FR. There are still good people like the Robinsons here who are trying to make a difference and they will never give up.
“How long have the good ladies from CA been in office? How old are they?
Too long! Hopefully, Fineswine will have a visit from the grim reaper, because she’s 80! Babs is 74 so who knows about her. They have both been in office for 20 years. Which is 20 years too long. The only thing that would save parts of California if it were to be subdivided. There is just too much liberal/illegal trash in the big cities to change anything statewide.
