What the hell has happened to the criminal justice system in America? This woman flies to New York City to appear on a nationwide television program and to convict and sentence on-air the ex-cop who shot her husband. And in another article her attorneys praise Westshore Pizza for coming up with thousands of dollars in donations for their client. Self serving SOB's. Guess who's getting most of that money? Plus the babe wife now gets her fifteen minutes of fame. If she was so damned concerned about her daughter she would be spending every minute with that child at home, not gallivanting around Manhattan appearing on freaking talk shows in glamorous attire and makeup. This tells me a lot about who these people really were/are. Not to speak ill of the dead but dollars to donuts hubby was a hothead "bad boy" type who mouthed off to anyone who came across as an authority figure. IMO, there are just too many unknowns right now for anyone to form any solid position.

Was the shooter a jerk? Probably. There is a history of that.

Was the victim a jerk? Probably. Throwing popcorn at someone who has already asked you once to stop texting is evidence of someone who is lacking in courtesy.

Did the victim deserve one to the chest? Don’t believe that being a jerk is a death sentence...poorly handled by both parties.

For some reason people are of the opinion that when someone is texting before the movie starts in a mostly empty theater you are not justified in shooting them in front of their wife just because you are a retired cop with imamgoditus.

Nothing the wife does now has now bearing on what the ex cop did in the theater.

Tex ting before the movie starts, making wise ass remarks (if he did) or throwing popcorn gave the ex cop a right or a reason to kill the man.
