Va’s amendment is pretty much the toughest in the nation, that’s why it only passed by 57% back in 2006 when every other states in the same southern region were passing them in the mid 70% ranges, in my opinion. The AG at the time actually had to make a clarifying ruling that it didn’t prohibit all types of contracts between citizens.
So another AG eight years later decided it actually violates the US constitution so he won’t defend it. To the state marriage is simply whatever judges, pols or the voting majority thinks it is at any one time, and to the state that’s all it ever will be or can be, at least in the modern era.

Marriage between a man and a woman is a cornerstone for an orderly society. It creates stable family units and cannot be redefined at the whim of leftists. It is what it is and saying it is now something different doesn't make it right or true. "Let's pretend" does not stabilize society.
