Thus ‘recruiting’ the army that will willingly and without question fire on American citizens.

This is not Star Wars. This is real life. Surely there are many things that can relieve troops. Just shut your trap and try stuff.
Just remember...all electronics can be neutralized.

In the original SW, none of the droids were used for combat. That came in with the prequels, and very few of those examples were competent, funny enough (the most competent was the
droideka or destroyer droid).

The US Army is considering replacing thousands of soldiers with robots as it deals with sweeping troop cuts. A senior American officer has said he is considering shrinking the size of the Armys brigade combat teams by a quarter and replacing the lost troops with robots and remote-controlled vehicles. What a coincidence - the remake of Robocop comes out in a couple of weeks.

That will work out great when the Target/Neimann-Marcus et al hackers get control of the robots, right?

So the ROK (”South Korean”) Army, 506,000 strong, will be larger than the American Army? Does that sound right to you? South Korea doesn’t have world-wide commitments, the last time I checked.

No doubt.
Just MHO on the matter.
The PTB’s aren’t doing this to save American Jedi, the current ROE’s bely that intention.
They’re doing it to have their own army that doesn’t have loyalties, families or religious objections to mowing down children and old people. And using the intended victims tax dollars to develop this tech to boot.
It’s only a matter of time before the elites have mechanized and roboticized and AI’d every single one of us peasants out of being useful. Then the fun really begins.

Save the troops. Use more bombs.

Machines also need people to maintain and repair them.
The Simpsons will be proven right again.
“The wars of the future will not be fought on land, or sea. They will be fought in space, or on the tops of very high mountains. And they will be fought not by you, but by robots. And as you go forth today, always remember, that it will be your duty to build and maintain those robots.” - grad speech, Bart graduating from military school.
