This mission has been going on so long I've forgotten about it. But soon, with lots of luck, a nice lander will be sitting on the surface of a comet.

To me, thats damn cool.

Sure is ... but THIS image;

" Comets also likely helped seed Earth with water and other ingredients of life."

Is just ...

TOO Johnny Appleseed for me to accept.

There's a mission out to Pluto going on.

I think it will take 9 years.

Yes, I forgot the name and dates!

Way cool!
Minor point: As I understand it, comets do not “trail” a tail. The tail always points towards the Sun, regardless of the comet’s direction of travel.

“To me, thats damn cool. “

It IS cool,and the astonishing thing about it is that so many people take these things for granted now,including me.

I still remember where I was and what I was doing when John Glenn was first orbiting the earth.I was transfixed with the wonder of it all. I need that enthusiasm back.

Thanks for sharing this.

Study icy gonads? That’s an outrage! What is NASA, an Eskimo hooker? I think they should use the NASA budget for space exploration. In fact..

What..icy nomads?

Never mind.
