"This is King day"

I survived yet another of this superfluous assigned day of so called conservatives from Rush to Beck to Levin to Hannity making fools of themselves and being ignorant..."

I am, quite simply, sick to death of the fawning over MLK.

I often hear the reluctant admission that he was a "flawed" man, usually prior to more gushing praise. Well, if that's all he was, then we need to be consistent and apply that mild term to people like John Kerry. Like Kerry, MLK called our troops war criminals. He said the American government was the biggest purveyor of violence in the world, that it had committed more war crimes than any other. He was an open apologist for the Communist regime in Vietnam.

Presidents' Day is next month. We'll see plenty of furniture stores and car dealerships running sales featuring cartoons of Washington and Lincoln. Fine. Yet even if MLK had not been murdered, we would never see his likeness used to sell goods or services. The outrage would be thunderous.

The tyranny of political correctness is embraced even by some conservatives.
