Before this thread disappears and if gone I want to have on the record that Byron Cook is the Chair of the State Affairs committee. So if he doesn’t want a bill out for a vote it doesn’t get out.
The Concerned Women of America had 65 bills that they were working on. Most were pro-life. None got out in the regular session. The only reason 11 of them got out for a vote was because Rick Perry got them out in special session.
Now once they were out for a vote, Byron Cook did vote for them but holding up bills is another way to defeat something before the fact (vote). How very Sun Tzu.
