Well, we dont have unfettered protest rights; the First Amendment guarantees we have the right peaceably to assemble and no rights not related to abandoning the peace with respect to assembly, which means riots can be suppressed legally. If any country attacks the right to peaceably assemble, then there are ulterior motives.

Correct, the United States has its own special rules regarding protest that the EU nags conveniently overlook.
