As mentioned in related cases in NM and OR, the states have amended the Constitution to expressly protect religious expression, but not so-called gay rights. So NM, OR, and now HI are examples of states who have violated Section 1 of the 14th Amendment, imo, by making laws which go too far in abridiging a constitutionally enumerated right.

Sadly, the reason that Christians are victims of these misguided state laws is because Christian parents evidently haven’t been making sure that their children are taught how the Constitution protects their rights.

Here is the FIRST SENTENCE OF THE FIRST AMENDMENT. This law is illegal since it violates the second part of the first sentence.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, OR PROHIBITING THE FREE EXERCISE THEREOF;

I have already listed in another thread this morning, many Bible passages proving my point. To force this abomination onto churches is to force these churches away from freely exercising their religion.
