I wish Christians would fight back against Freedom From Religion. They make me sick.

We should grant these Atheist bigots equal time. Perhaps a bound copy of all 2,000 pages of an anti-Christian document they admire, such as the ObamaCare Act, would make them feel better.

wouldn’t it be amazing if libtards did something on a scale like this if a single Christian complained about something?

interesting.

when one libtard complaiuns about something to libtards in charge, they use the one complainer as justification to do what the complainer wants.

when most of the country is opposed to what the libtards in charge are doing, and say so, the libtards ignore the large majority, which also contains some of the libtards’ normal supporters.

the hypocrisy is fascinating.

...the Establishment Clause of the United States Constitution, which reads, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.”

“It is a fundamental principle of Establishment Clause jurisprudence that a government entity cannot promote, advance or otherwise endorse religion,” the letter stated.

Uh, that second thing does not say what that first thing is saying.

If I were Chancellor Cross, I would post a letter behind plexiglass in all guest rooms, appologising about having no religious texts available, such religions including (but not limited to) the Budhist, Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Taoist, Satanist, Wiccan, Mormon, etc. faiths. The reason being that the Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) forwarded to the university, a letter signed by Patrick C. Elliott, Staff Attorney, 'requesting' our immediate removal of Bibles 'from each guest room in the Lowel Centre, Pyle Center, and all other UW Extension guest facilities.', citing certain legal precedents that may or may not be applicable to this educational institution. The FFRF claims that 19% of Americans are non-religious (meaning 81% are religious) and that 27% of Americans are non-Christian (meaning that 83% are Christian) and that they are alienated by observing a Bible in their guest room.

I would also include something along the lines of:

If you would like to comment on this issue, the FFRF's website is www.ffrf.org. The organisation's mailing address is: PO Box 750, Madison WI 53701. Their telephone and fax numbers are: (ph) 608-256-8900 (FAX) 608-204-0422. I am sure that Staff Attorney Elliott, President Emerita Anne Nicol Gaylor, Co-President Dan Barker or Co-President Annie Laurie Gaylor would be pleased to discuss their request with you. Of course, if you would like to discuss this with someone from UW, you may contact: luis.fernandez@uwex.edu

I don't think that I'm going to apply to the University of Wisconsin Law School anytime soon. The law school's activist professors evidently aren't teaching the following about bona-fide "government" power to regulate religion. Regardless what socialist FDR's activist justices wanted everybody to think about Thomas's Jefferson's "wall of separation," the real Thomas Jefferson had indicated the following about the limited scope of that wall of separation.

Jefferson had noted that the Founding States had made the 10th Amendment to clarify in general that the states had reserved government power to legislatively address religious issues uniquely to themselves, such power now limited by the 14th Amendment, regardless that the Founders had made the 1st Amendment in part to prohibit such powers entirely to Congress.

"3. Resolved that it is true as a general principle and is also expressly declared by one of the amendments to the constitution that ‘the powers not delegated to the US. by the constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively or to the people’: and that no power over the freedom of religion, freedom of speech, or freedom of the press being delegated to the US. by the constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, all lawful powers respecting the same did of right remain, & were reserved, to the states or the people: that thus was manifested their determination to retain to themselves the right of judging how far the licentiousness of speech and of the press may be abridged without lessening their useful freedom, and how far those abuses which cannot be separated from their use should be tolerated rather than the use be destroyed (emphasis added); …" --Thomas Jefferson, Kentucky Resolutions, 1798.

So the interpretation of the establishment clause by activist justices is bogus where 10th Amendment-protected state powers are concerned imo.

I had a look at the ffrf.org website, including their 2012 IRS Form 990 and schedules. As I am in cost accounting in Canada and have never seen a US tax form, let alone a tax exempt form, I am no expert. I do find though, that it is curious that the two 'Co-Presidents' (a husband and wife team) earned over $215K out of $787K in salaries (27%) and overall costs of $2,240K (9.6%)

I am no legal eagle, but is there not an opportunity for a lawsuit against this organisation based upon religious descrimination? After all, on their IRS Form 990, Part 1.1, they state that their mission is "to keep church and state separate and to educate the public about nontheism". What about Wiccan covens, Jewish synagogues, Muslim mosques, Budhist temples, etc? It seems to me that their efforts descriminate against one religion, Christianity. From what I understand, several school boards in several States fund Muslim schools and Jewish schools. Why have these 'upstanding secular citizens' chosen not to approach such schools? This shows a certain religious descrimination on their part.

In their letter to UW, they suggest that they are doing what they do not just for atheists, but for non-Christians. Again, it seems to me that this is descrimination, IF they are claiming to promote 'non-theism' but only go after Christianity.

Any good lawyers out there that could dose these folks with some of their own medicine? What is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander!

EQUALITY would be putting an empty notepad in the drawer for all atheists.

REMOVING religious texts makes the no-god god DOMINATE.

So when did Congress pass the law that the University of Wisconsin had to have bibles in its guest rooms?

Bible says this will happen, increased persecution etc.

This isn’t the battle, the battle is a far larger front.

We are at war, and there will be no end to it, as a matter of fact, it’s going to get far worse. The good news is the end result has already been determined and the good guys win.
