Russia joins the European and world traditions according to which hotel guests have the opportunity to read the Bible in their rooms, reports the Christian Telegraph invictory.com in reference to ITAR-TASS.
On August 9th, the first 6,000 copies of the New Testament and Psalms will be transferred to one of the largest hotels in Moscow Izmailovo, reports ITAR-TASS citing the New Department of the Russian Orthodox Church.
This charity event is supported by the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management of the Moscow Government and the Commission with the Diocesan Missionary Council of the capital.
Actually, in every European hotel guests can find Bibles in the rooms. The Gospel is a book that has become the foundation of European culture, it is an essential feature of the respectful and hospitable attitude towards guests, as well as an indicator of the culture level of the owners of hotels, said the chairman of the commission missionary hieromonk Dimitriy Pershin.
