New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie faces one of his first major tests since his backyard political scandal erupted: reassuring top Republican donors that he has taken steps to address allegations of political payback in his home state and that he remains a viable presidential contender for the partys establishment.
Christie, who leads the Republican Governors Association, will travel to Florida this weekend for a series of fundraisers to help Republican Gov. Rick Scott. It will be his first out-of-state trip since the scandal involving lane closures at the George Washington Bridge escalated.
The itinerary listing some of Floridas most exclusive addresses will give Christie an opportunity to convince longtime financial supporters and wealthy newcomers that the scandal has not hurt his stature as a potential 2016 presidential contender. Many Republicans have come to Christies defense and credited him with taking responsibility, although some GOP leaders say his future will depend on whether his account of what happened is accurate.

Meanwhile, nothing whatsoever is made of the fact that government officials in NC destroyed property records from 160 years ago, possibly covering up criminal actions from that time to the advantage of the elites today. No, this tempest in a teapot bridge kerfuffle is a much bigger story.
The Dems are taking out our *best* candidate , certainly our biggest.
What's next?
Accusing Jeb Bush of shutting off the Orlando water to keep a Dem's family out of Disney World?

Maybe he thinks Crist is still governor here? Crist, Christi, I guess they are all alike.
Jeb Bush did that? Oh the SHAME! Why, oh why, would you DO that, Jeb?
Actually, it would be better for everybody concerned , that the “big-money” supposedly GOP contributors immediately redirected their money to support the campaign of Herself, Madame Benghazi, the Cold & Joyless. That way, about half the spending on politically pointless campaigns could be diverted to more effective use, such as repealing the Second Amendment and further circumscribing what remains of the First Amendment. < /sarcasm >
Really, where are their heads?
We have to rally around our best candidates who get attacked by Dems, and that's a huge circle around Christie. His pants belt could stretch across the river.
Where's the proof that he moved those cones?? There is none.
No, let us not rally around the RINO. I think that is what the GOPe was hoping for.
Are you sure?
Did these become national news stories that went on for weeks? Nope.
“I think”
Dude, NJFatboy makes MooseChelle look like a marathon runner...
Look at it this way, if Christie really shut down that bridge then maybe he likes shutting down things.
Isn't that the ultimate objective?
‘Shut-er-down” ??
BAWAHAWA
Yeah, two laps around him is an olympic event next summer games.
Maybe he shut down the bridge by roping it off with his belt.
they both like to shut things down, what a pair
You folks don’t understand the gravity of the situation,
( and you know that Christie hates gravity)
If we let them take out Christie then whose next?
Jeb Bush ?
Then they will go after nailing Jeb maybe they will go after Paul Ryan our budget wizard.
Then our border guy Marco Rubio next?
They will destroy all our best candidates !
Could you sleep at night if you let that happen?
Are you a troll or just poor at sarcasm? Jeb bush “our best candidate” HA.
