Agree totally. Tarantino’s “ninja/samauri” phase was the low point of his career. The only good part of Kill Bill was the Japaneese girl band singing the “whoo-whoo” song. “
Gee, sorry to learn that! I like both #1 and #2. Not exactly War and Peace for sure. As others have stated they’re a spoof with lots of satire and a comic book look them. But, nevertheless Weinstein is a hypocrite no doubt about it no matter how you slice it.
You could say the same about lots of Tarantino movies, including Django which was a spoof/homage to the Serigo Lenoe spagetti westerns, but I thought the Kill Bill series were his worst spoofs. I agree it's purely subjective and you're just as "right" in liking them as I am in not liking them. I haven't really liked one of his flicks since Jackie Brown.
Please note that although I didn’t really like them that much I thought the production values and directing on both Kill Bill movies and Django were excellent.
