Conservative and Republican affiliated groups have started the 2014 assault against Democrats who support Obamacare. At the very same time, it is increasingly clear Republicans are laying the groundwork to abandon their opposition to Obamacare.
The Business Roundtable, which has a great relationship with Republican Leaders, is now listing Obamacare as an entitlement worth preserving.
Douglas Holtz-Eakin, a former economic advisor to John McCain and who opposed passage of Obamacare, has started a think tank premised on keeping, but fixing, Obamacare. Holtz-Eakin has the ear of Republican leaders. In 2009, Mitch McConnell appointed him to the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission.
The Chamber of Commerce is declaring it will work to fix, not repeal, Obamacare. In fact, just last week the head of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce said, The administration is obviously committed to keeping the law in place, so the chamber has been working pragmatically to fix those parts of Obamacare that can be fixed.
Concurrent to this, the Chamber of Commerce has begun funding candidates to beat conservatives in Republican primaries.
The Republican Main Street Partnership, headed by former Congressman LaTourette who is a friend of Speaker John Boehner is working with the Chamber and party leaders to target conservatives the party leadership finds troublesome. LaTourette has been parroting talking points from the National Republican Senatorial Committee about the Senate Conservatives Fund, Club for Growth, and others.

chamber of commerce is just as evil as the democrat party.
The way to defund them is to make membership TOXIC.
if anyone posts a “chamber of commerce” plaquard or sticker, that business will have no business.
These inisders want to foist healcare on the taxpayer in order to “guarantee profits”
They are now and have been the problem to our side having any response what-so-ever... period!
Doubt it........
only an armed revolt will end this.
The ballot box no longer has any power.
Congressmen should vote via the internet from their districts. No need to go to DC.
War is going to break out one day and it won’t end until one side wins absolutely. It will mean liberty for all or a thousand years of darkness for the world.
Yep. I agree.
Both parties are the same thing now.
elections are meaningless.
Liberal Party A or Liberal Party B
Sorry, I won’t bother choosing
I know how you feel - I hate choosing between the lesser of two evils. However, I have come to the conclusion that at least voting for the lesser of two evils (aka McCain or Romney) is a lot better than allowing the greater of two evils (aka 0bama) to win - at least the voting route has a chance of success. If more had chosen that route instead of staying home in 2008 and 2012, at least we would have the lesser of two evils.
Yup.
And those still pushing Romney now desire that this be so.
Q: Who built Obamacare?
A: Obama built that. Period.
So good and true it needed to be posted again. Bump to the top.
Two decades of agreeing with you behind me ... any mindset that supports the idea of forcefully taking money from people to legitimize and fund abortion, which is essentially what Roe v Wade has done, is evil; there is no "lesser."
Any mindset that supports the idea of forcing businesses, the military, schools, youth groups, churches, and society on balance to tolerate and help promote open homosexuality when they would left to their own accord civilly and peacefully tell it to go somewhere else, is evil. There is no "lesser."
Anyone who advocates government oversight of individual health care choices, is tyrannical and misguided at best, as is anyone who advocates that politicized eco-agendas should influence world politics. AS IT HAPPENS, Romney has that entire mindset, and always has. Voting for him was voting for evil, there was no "lesser." I am very sorry to say it.
“The beginning of the end of the GOP.”
From your keyboard to God’s ears. Although I’d like to add the ‘rat faction of the uniparty to the wishlist....
Uniparty hard at work.
The main theme of Romney and the GOPe was "Repeal and Replace" just in case we have all forgotten.
"Repeal and Replace" Ever heard that?
If you think the Insurance companies and corporations do not want this, you haven't been paying attention.
Do you really think/feel/dream you sold me on your position? (grin)
I’m not selling anything. I’m out of the market. I have decided the R vs D game is not my game
Republican affiliated but in no wise conservative groups and personalities, Democrats all, actually.
The GOP is simply an operating division of the Democrat Party, the division responsible for the official Opposition Facade.
