They simply do not care. They believe that they can profit personally, and somehow, they (erroneously) also believe that the resultant socialist or communist state will ALLOW them and their family to keep their wealth.
BZZZT. Wrong. The first thing Lenin did was kill all his collaborators (with a few notable exceptions). His reasoning? "If Russia could not trust you before, how can I trust you now?"

Hundreds of millions went out to Romney consultants in 2012 as guaranteed payments. The fact that he lost was irrelevant. The consultants and money boys have taken over the Republican party, and they could care less about the average voter.
Good message if we could only get it through to them. They clearly do not care about the fate of the country or the GOP. If they only understood their personal danger, maybe they would care. Maybe.
