So...why didn’t the rental car staff discover the weapon? Don’t they clean the cars and do a check after they get turned in?

There was a thread on this on FR last week. Someone posted the pic with no story about his friend who found the rifle.

My friend and her mom just rented a car at the Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood airport
