What a waste; can’t even enjoy shopping without worrying about getting shot.
“exposing oneself to the unassimilated underclass encountered in public places like this makes no sense”
Stinks; sometimes nothing is more fun than going on a small spree and then piling up on purchases, then putting the bags in the back of your car or the trunk and driving merrily off.
Have to agree there; if their products were interesting to buy, I am certain that Penny’s will suffer more and more. Sears is not selling anything of quality either and I believe that a lot of places aren’t really TRYING to find interesting items.
Their buyers (people who are supposed to find good stuff to buy to have sold at the stores) are not making much of an effort.
I think the future of many malls is section 8 housing.
Ugh; or research/medical centers. That would certainly improve a lot of malls. It’s a real darned shame to be blunt.
Sears/K-Mart is really hard to understand.
I don’t know what Eddie Lampert’s endgame is.
They are operating these as zombie stores.
I recently went into a Sears mall store (it’s been years) and it looked like it hadn’t been remodeled since the 80s.
“And when you see these things come to pass, look up, for your redemption draws nigh.”
All the formerly thriving stores have just deteriorated. No one in corporate or the sales floor seems to be trying in any effective manner.
“And never go to a mall in a big city (unless you are heavily armed). Its just not worth the risk”
Most of our malls are in suburbs; there is one in Jersey City to which I’ve never been. Couldn’t imagine what that clientele is like...
“Im ticked that a lot of great malls are becoming nothing but babysitting services for the younger kids and troublemakers. Used to be a nice place, used to be fun to go to, but now its just a depressing, darkening place.”
I understand; well put.
