Here in NJ we have a large, brand-new mall complete with an indoor ski slope that never opened (it was completed a few years ago). The Xanadu Mall will be seen by the world next month (unless it is carefully avoided by the cameras) as it sits next to Giants Stadium (where the Super Bowl will be played).

“Singing River Mall is a small mall and as such are least competitive . When bad times come people drive a little farther to Gulfport where they have a lot more shopping choices and an upscale ‘outlet mall’ to choose from. Here in the Gulf South people don't have the disposable income they do in the NE so bad times hit retailers hard. What is the story on this huge investment that Xanadu mall represented? Obama backwards prosperity at work or what?
