The 2014 midterm elections are just around the corner, and the race for Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s (R-KY) seat is heating up. Glenn spoke to Sen. McConnell’s primary challenger, Matt Bevin, in November and was impressed with his conservative values. New polling data shows Bevin is slowly but surely closing a very large gap against Sen. McConnell. And there is even worse news for Sen. McConnell – he leads his presumed Democratic challenger, Alison Lundergan Grimes, by just one point in the polls.

If the Republican candidates for Senate in
2014 were Mitch McConnell and Matt Bevin,
who would you vote for?

Mitch McConnell: 53%

Matt Bevin: 26%

Not sure: 21%

If the candidates for Senate next year were
Republican Mitch McConnell and Democrat
Alison Lundergan Grimes, who would you vote
for?

Mitch McConnell: 43%

Alison Lundergan Grimes: 42%

Not sure: 15%

If the candidates for Senate next year were
Republican Matt Bevin and Democrat Alison
Lundergan Grimes, who would you vote for?

Matt Bevin: 39%

Alison Lundergan Grimes: 38%

Not sure: 24%

I think Bevin can get to even, if not surpass him, by May.

Good. Mitch needs to be retired so he can get the testicle transplant he so desparately needs.

There should be patriots with torches and pitchforks/tar and feathers outside his office.

Same with every other RINO.

This poll is almost a month old, Dec. 17, 2013. Are there any polls more current?

Send Bevin a coupe of bucks. It's the next best thing to pitchforks.

Support Matt Bevin to oust Mitch McConnell in KY

Too bad there's not any prospect of spine transplants.

All that polling shows me is that Kentuckians are indecisive.

Its risky when you take down a dinosaur. You run the risk of giving the seat to the opposing party.

But sometimes you have to run that risk. Its how you deliver a lesson to the others.

Not that risky, especially when you’re already in the majority. How do you figure the leftard will vote, probably 95% of the time the wrong way, especially on close votes? How much worse than Bitch is that? Not much I’ll bet.

Somehow these Tea Party candidates have to go to a boot camp and learn how how to avoid getting ambushed by the MSM.

In the modern era when there’s no such thing as a “moderate” Democrat, six years is a long time to be stuck with a Baraqqi partisan as we’re learning in Indiana.

Let’s see his numbers when this $trillion travesty budget sinks in. More spending all around (except for military pensions, we gonna cut those).

Those figures make it look like McConnell will be with us for a long time. Maybe if the Tea Party picks up enough seats in the Senate they can vote him out of the Minority or Majority Leader’s slot. That might make things more embarrassing for the old bastard and he might resign.

But there are certainly ways to avoid giving the Dems the perfect quotes to use in attack ads. NJFatboy is getting hit with stuff that actually happened (not sure if he was involved or not).
