For three DECADES this officer was engaged in sexual misconduct on the job. Does anyone really believe the other *good* officers didn’t know this was going on?
Did this affect his ticketing procedures?
My experience with police officers (my best friend and one time long time room mate is now a retired police officer) is that this issue was most likely a jealousy thing because this guy was doing something and, or, someone that another officer or officers wanted to do. I’ve seen it first hand.
If one cop is getting something then there will be others who feel entitled to the same thing whether it is women, OT, personal time off, you name it and it can be a very cut throat work environment.
I don’t know what it is but there is something in the psychological profile in some of these folks that flips a switch and they start down these paths that ultimately leads to bad things either for themselves or for others in the community that they serve.
At least he wasn’t beating homeless schizos to death with his Taser.
