I was a huge supporter of police until the last few years. That savage beating to death of the homeless man in Fullerton was the last straw. I know there are good ones and I am thankful they are out there, but there are many bad ones looking for an excuse to exercise their authority.

There is no defending the indefensible. This guy screwed up big time. His response was disproportionate to the threat, whether real or perceived. In the interests of disclosure I feel obligated to tell you I'm a cop. Most of my fellow officers would agree with me that the shooter screwed up royally. If fact, it was a topic at work last night, and all those I spoke to agreed the shooter was in the wrong.

BTW, calling someone you disagree with names does nothing to strengthen your argument(IMHO).
