Cops are allowed, even encouraged, to lie to you to get what they want. If you lie to them, it’s a crime.
Therefor, it’s safe to assume that all cops are liars.
It is certainly the prudent thing to do.
Listen to the lawyers, do not talk to cops.
Really? Where is it a crime to lie to the police? And what is the crime? Certainly not the case in California, but perhaps in other states. Would be curious to learn where this obtains.
The proper response to them is I want a lawyer. Nothing good can come from speaking to them.
I have had the good sense and some good fortune to not have had to deal with the law too much in my life, but I've always felt like the Constitution affords you the right to remain silent and you should exercise that right where possible. I would make an exception to come to the aid of someone falsely accused or to aid in the capture of a threat. But if the subject is me, my mouth is shut.
This wall between a police officer and the citizen is growing by the day and with the police paramilitary buildup places most Americans on their guard against the coming assault upon them!
Never speak to a cop, he or she is not you friend. Wait until the 2nd Revolutionary war begins and most Americans will discover just how much they hate most American citizens, especially those who are armed and are individualist who want to be left alone!
