Secretary Kerry: U.S. deeply concerned by Nigerias enactment of the Same Sex Marriage Prohibition Act
Deep Concern with Nigerias Enactment of the Same Sex Marriage Prohibition Act
Press Statement
John Kerry Secretary of State Washington, DC
January 13, 2014
The United States is deeply concerned by Nigerias enactment of the Same Sex Marriage Prohibition Act.
Beyond even prohibiting same sex marriage, this law dangerously restricts freedom of assembly, association, and expression for all Nigerians.
Moreover, it is inconsistent with Nigerias international legal obligations and undermines the democratic reforms and human rights protections enshrined in its 1999 Constitution.
People everywhere deserve to live in freedom and equality. No one should face violence or discrimination for who they are or who they love.
We join with those in Nigeria who appeal for the protection of their fellow citizens fundamental freedoms and universal human rights.
I don’t know. The Lord used all kinds of foreign armies to discipline the Hebrew people in the Old Testament.
Hey. I finally read The Harbinger. Anyone here read The Harbinger?
Dear God, I am sick of these queer-loving reprobates.
Yes he is, but remember who his boss is. All gay all the day.
Recently someone posted that we are already under God's judgment, as evidenced by the rampant homosexualism we're seeing. He provided Scripture to back it up. Wish I could remember who the poster was.
Dunno But I have thought that as well. Give the people what they ask for until they beg you to stop.
then really rub it it.
I have. It was quite unsettling.
Nigerian yellowcake uranium to Middle East dictators? Throw a Republican in prison! Thanks xzins.
True!
John Kerry is in a contest with Joe Biden to see who can make the biggest ass of himself regarding foreign policy. John has a lot of catching up to do so he is seizing every opportunity.
I am thinking the same thing. As a country, we have failed Him miserably in the last 30 years or so. As individuals, we can continue to seek His blessings, mercy and protection. But as a country...mmmm mmmm
The Harbinger is an “I can’t put it down” read.
Exactly.
Indeed. The Harbinger is quite unsettling. I remember (real time) that when John Edwards spoke his part, the particular scriptural reference blew me out of the water. I am glad that these things have been documented.
The book is scary and beautiful at the same time. It reminds us how exact is The Word.
Yet there is no outcry for the Christians that are being slaughtered, hmmmmmmm.
That’s exactly what I’m saying.
And take note that the Whore of Babylon is not noted for bringing too much good to the world.
I haven’t read that book, sorry.
The Harbinger is an incredible read. Sort of shock therapy.
Definitely.
I wish the title of this read: “US deeply concerned by Nigeria’s killing of Christians”
Instead, Kerry is focused on gay weddings. Maybe some Nigerian baker wouldn’t bake a cake.
It is an eye-opener and a revealer of thoughts.
The book is worth the read. Though it is listed as Christian Fiction, it is quite a Bible study.
The Whore of Babylon, “The kings of the earth who committed fornication and lived luxuriously with her will weep and lament for her, when they see the smoke of her burning, standing at a distance for fear of her torment, saying, Alas alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour your judgement has come.”
