That's true. But usually they try to discredit the stronger conservative nominees first. And leave an attackable liberal as our nominee.

The fact that they couldn't help themselves but attack Christie now, rather than after he was the GOP nominee, indicates either:

• a lack of organization,
• that they are sacrificing Christie to draw attention away from Obamacare, or that
• they have already settled on another liberal as the GOP candidate.

Correct, and in the meantime, real scandals like Gast and Furious, Benghazi, CommieCare (have ro pass it to see what’s in it), etc, are deliberately ignored. Real conservatives are left being crushed between Charybdis and Scylla.
