With pundits focused on higher-profile Senate races in the South and West, a new Conservative Intel/Harper Poll shows that Republicans have a very serious pickup opportunity in the Midwest.
The early poll of 1,004 likely Michigan voters, conducted January 7th and 8th by Harper Polling, shows Republican former Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land (at right) leading Democratic U.S. Rep. Gary Peters (below), 44 to 36 percent.

Can you give us some links on her record and positions? If you do I think we’d all appreciate that.
(The RTW passage and implementation was fantastic! Keep up the good work.)
As a former Secretary of state she doesn’t have much of a record to go on. I do know that she was elected to the RNC by a coalition of tea partiers, GOP conservatives, and libertarians. She’s been outspoken for a full repeal of Obamacare and has voiced her strong support of Ted Cruz in standing up to the establishment. I believe she’s already gotten an endorsement from Larry Arn at Hillsdale college. She also appears to have a very good reputation among FReepers who have met her.
Plus the GOP doesn’t seem to be able to find anyone to run against her. Dave Camp turned them down.

Yes it was, that was a touchdown.....Unfortunately on the very next play, Snyder blew the game by deciding to tax retiree pensions......
If things were left up to Snyder things would never get done in Michigan.
When it comes to Snyder, I’m suffering from voters remorse......won’t happen again
Apart from the usual Demwit ballot box fraud, it won’t be as close as 8 pts. It wouldn’t be surprising to learn that the pro-abortion crap won’t be on the ballot in an effort to avoid pushing up the western Michigan voter turnout.
I don't know of any statewide election where the 'Rat fraud has been so massive as to account 8 percentage points, up until now.
But unless the GOP wakes up and takes definitive steps to curb the fraud and other types of election cheating, the sky is the limit for the cheaters. One possible anti-fraud factor in Michigan that other states don't have is a GOP Secretary of State.
