I’d like to point out one little thing to the politicians. In my experience discussing medical issues is usually in the top three things that family, friends and acquaintances discuss when they get together. Why? Because it has generally been a ‘safe’ topic, devoid of politics or religion.
Now I think we will still talk about it... But Man oh man, has it been politicized! And I think the fall-out from that will reverberate for a long, long time to come.
