Have read that the grunge generations think the Comedy Channel shows are legitimate news, that is where they get their opinions.........

No surprise. Most younger folks are cutting loose, what they watch comes from Hulu, DVDs and the like.

The mainstream press has been the propaganda arm of the DNC for so long, I stopped watching years ago.

Network Newscasts: I offer you below a typical member of your rapidly declining audience.

the share of Americans who regularly watch a nightly network news program – ABC, CBS, and NBC – has declined from 60 percent in 1993 (the earliest available measure) to just 27 percent in 2012.

And that's the way it is.

I tried to remember, back when I had tv, the last network newscast I watched...I can't be sure. I think it was in the previous century.

I’ve mentioned this dozens of times on FR, same thing with newspapers.

Yet so many want to avoid social media thus allowing the progressives to indoctrinate our millenials.

The watch “The Daily Show” and “The Colbert Report”. That’s why they voted like dimwits in the last two elections.

I have not watched network news since Election Night 2000. Same with CNN excepting the Gabby Gifford shooting when they had better reporting than did Fox News. Barely watch any Fox News either these days.

I want to know what is happening not some 20 something producer’s interpretation of what’s happening delivered through the mouth of some idiot.

I find my news elsewhere, which does take some effort.

I’ve been saying it for some time...every time they carry a body bag out of a nursing home; newspapers lose another subscriber, and network news loses another viewer. Those viewers are NOT being replaced.

“seven in 10 (53 percent) could not identify the picture of Brian Williams”

Seven out of ten is 53% according to the article.

This is part of a long term trend. I don’t know why any intelligent person would waste their time watching the MSM news. I suspect the older people the call viewers just have it on in the background while the are taking a nap. The MSM news certainly is sleep inducing.

Young Americans under 30 are becoming semi-literate but also have abandoned ‘traditional’ nightly news shows. The propaganda and stale ‘news’ TV offers is being rejected by the majority of Americans. They are even losing the over-65 demographic, likely to attrition. This is good but the success of ‘comedy’ propaganda shows like that of Jon Stewart is taking their place. Meanwhile, the erosion of literacy in America as well as the jumble of opinions and lies on the internet aren’t giving young people a valid source for actual ‘news’. Sure, conservatives and liberals have their own sites but objective reporting is hard to find. Everybody has an ‘angle’. It can get discouraging and apparently many under-30’s are simply opting out.
