I teach repeater (failed a year) English in high school and it is FULL of stoners telling me that pot is perfectly harmless. And they’re failing the class again.

That is one of the aspects the Director of Student Health Services at Berkeley noticed in the 1960s! But his observations were shouted down by the users and the liberals.

I argued at length with an attorney friend of mine (now dead) when he opined that pot should be legalized because it was lighter (than booze) to carry on back packing trips in the High Sierra (no pun intended).

I don't know how much pot he ever used, but he became an alcoholic and had to have an intervention. I just wondered why ANYONE needed to drink, or smoke, while hiking in the Sierra?
