McCain subject of unprecedented embarrassment
The Maricopa County Republican Committee, the states largest Republican group, censured Senator John McCain for long and terrible record of drafting, co-sponsoring and voting for legislation best associated with liberal Democrats.
This official censuring of McCain happened during the annual mandatory meeting of the Maricopa County Republican Committee. Nearly 1,500 precinct committeemen (PCs) were in attendance. The vote to censure McCain passed overwhelmingly 1,150 in support with only 351 opposed.
After McCain held several closed door town halls on amnesty last year, state Republicans expressed their outrage with his stance on rewarding illegal aliens with citizenship.
McCain betrayed the state by proclaiming his intent to "Complete the Dang Fence" when running in his 2010 primary, then turning around and pushing through last year's "Gang of 8" Senate amnesty bill that would gut border security and hand tens of millions of illegals instant legalization.
McCain also opposed attempts to defund ObamaCare, pushed to arm Al Queda-backed "rebels" in Syria, and shamed his state when he was photographed with a Syrian terrorist who had kidnapped and tortured 11 civilians.

Duncan D. was talking to Mark Larson (San Diego) about his new legislature to take the land Mr. Soledad is on out of the hands of the government. He said McCain has defeated this the last time (or two) he's tried to get this passed. Hunter's plan is to appeal to McCain first. Here is the link to Mark Larson's podcast for that interview last week (I think):
marklarson.hipcast.com/rss/mark_larson.xml Guests this hour - Duncan D. Hunter (congressman), ... -John McCain plays too nice with the democrats. ... Mark's Mt. Soledad crusade.
Sorry it's not a "clickable" link but I just couldn't get it pulled up to get the necessary info.
Is this a new censure or bloggers re-running the story from 2005. (Did a lot of damage to him then, didn’t it?)

Ted Leitner drops by to show us the type of man Jerry is and was. -From the world of Reagan, Mike Reagan expands on Jerry's passing and also reflects on the vacations of the Obamas. Mark Larson on 1170AM KCBQ.
Why do those same “Republicans” keep putting him back in office time after time? Is this the Republican version of the Ted Kennedy syndrome?
Thanks. I’ll pass it along to my friends at TRN.
I wonder if it is possible to have a "symbolic effect" on somebody so self-interested as John McCain. If he wants to run again, he will.
Nobody else counts.
I am thinking it might encourage some other ambitious guy to run for the job. Someone like Cruz who has some thing on the ball and who has the time, energy and seed money to go around the state and talk to people. It is true that all politics is local. Can we ignore how Cruz was able to win in Texas, and how Santorum, on a shoe string, was able to win in Iowa ? Of course, Cruz is, as a debater, on the level with Lincoln or Douglas or Clay, but Santorum was just a hack who acquired an insight into the way that ordinary people think.
