I supported Newt Gingrich in the primaries. When he spoke on the campaign trail, I agreed with every word he said. I also knew in my heart that his name would never be at the top of the ticket. Why? because outside of the FR cheerleading section, people loath him, women especially. They loath his wife. He is old. His voice is grating. He is perpetually angry. He is uninspiring. Gingrich has great ideas and a brilliant mind. Unfortunately, he is wholly unelectable. He might make a great policymaker behind the scenes but he has no future in elective politics, not nationally anyways.
You see, there are these people out there we call "low information voters". They don't care about policies. They vote for personalities. Unfortunately for our republic, their votes count just the same as yours and mine. This is why a successful politician needs to be the complete package of policies and personality. Gingrich had one but lacked the other.
There won't be one because the liberal media and low information voters would tear them down in a NY minute. And the rino's will pounce on them also or turn from them as they did to Newt as we know evil hates conservatism... we saw what republicans think of conservatives as all those Republicans who licked the romney butt at his convention.

Wrong. He had it all but fearful voters were swayed by what the media was telling them and known rino's who came out for romney. They were poll watchers with no truth cemented in them - they stood for nothing, only mindful of their fear. They were easily deceived and that's meat for LIAR politicians. Tell me, what..policies and personality did Romney have? if you say one needs that complete package? Where was his personality? What were his policies that so many wanted? Voters were not interested in America nor truth no matter what they say. Fear is crippling - romney voters were crippled emotionally and politically. Instill fear and then satan claims the weak and wins.
The fact that God has said "Fear Not" over 300 times in His Word - those not obedient to God didn't bother at all to heed His Word. Fear was their focus. Did they really expect to win being fearful and disobedient? They can stay in their depravity with the liberals and rinos - they all deserve and need each other - all of like mind with no truth in them.
