When a cop feels threatened by what appears to me a gun, he is trained to three tap center mass. Lesson learned, don’t threaten a cop with a weapon that appears to be a real gun.
Where does it ever indicate that the officer was ever “threatened”?
Four shots, three misses. One in the head. Probably shot the kid in the head out of final frustration, and to remove any witnesses.
Lesson learned, dont threaten a cop with a weapon that appears to be a real gun.
The kid didn't threaten the cop. He was apparently trying to fix a broken Airsoft gun, and it probably didn't cross his mind that a) his Airsoft gun was for pointing at someone, and b) it's the death penalty for sitting in your car, going about your own business.
Where does it say he was threatening him?
As my posting history will show, I have no love for the transformation of police and sheriff’s departments into ‘law enforcers ‘ who are armed hall monitors. However, your remarks are correct. Point something that looks like a real firearm at a Leo and a deadly response can be expected. Yakima is overrun with damp Americans, um, er, undocumented Americans or ‘economic refugees’ and as a result swarms with Latino thugs and gang members. I can understand why the LEO did what he did. In passing, I wonder what the ‘emigration status’ of the decent was?
It doesn't have to be a gun; it could be a cell phone, a book, heck you'd best just read this:
Stop, Drop, and Cower

I'm not at all a fan of these cops but I will give them slack when a gun or object resembles one is entered the fracas then the cops have a right to defend themselves.
I like that: “trained to put three center mass”.
The officer fired FOUR rounds and only one hit the victim.

Right! And sitting in a car, assembling your airsoft gun (with no indication even from the police that he pointed it) is EXTREMELY threatening to a cop!!!1!
Why, sitting in my living room typing on a keyboard is very threatening to a cop! Sure glad there are none around! I'd be DEAD!
