My thought also. It matters because they may have heard or seen something boarding or in the brief flight that is relevant to the actions you just described Was she coherent getting on or during the flight?
I agree w you on this point. Nobody wd agree to be a passenger on a doomed plane if they knew a sea crash was planned/inevitable. Way, way too many things can go wrong. If there was sabotage, it likely involved the engine. I read somewhere that the explosion/catastrophic engine failure had been intended to happen later, when the plane was further out to sea [but the flight was delayed]. Perhaps whoever fouled up the engine imagined all nine wd perish, and that was okay. As long as Fuddy was among the deceased, collateral damage wd be acceptable.
Here is another theory I recently read. What if Fuddy actually believed the BC she authenticated was real? Maybe she was not the brightest bulb. Maybe someone or ones she trusted assured her it was legit. She was only too happy to do her part for a POTUS she enthusiastically supported.
But over time she began to have doubts. She realized things w the LF BC were not quite right. She aired her misgivings to the wrong person. A sabotaged engine was the result.
Seems at least w’in the realm of possibility. We have assumed Fuddy knowingly participated in a crime. Given the [reputed] depths & sincerity of her Catholic faith, however, there just may be some question on that front. If so, the motive for what cd well be a heinous crime becomes evident.
