We seriously need to bring back flogging. Pain is a great natural disincentive. As it is, juvenile criminals get slaps on the wrist until they finally commit a crime serious enough to get locked away for decades. A couple hundred lashes for the first robbery would scare a lot away from committing more crimes.
Public flogging. I agree.
They would cry that it’s not civilized, but how is it civilized to have sub-humans roaming the streets attacking people without cause. If it was an animal it would be put down.
Flogging would help KEEP us civilized.
Up until around World War II, criminals in Britain who committed violent crimes could be flogged--a sentence for "garotting," or strong-arm robbery might be three years in prison plus three dozen lashes with the cat of nine tails. Such a sentence for "knockout game" attacks would reduce them substantially.
