Thanks for posting that.

We just had a conversation about "local" honey, that I buy. I told DD that it was good for allergies and that I purchased it at the near by feed store. DH piped in with, "right, where they bottle it, in the back room, with the honey from China". He was kidding, but it makes you think.

My dad gets honey from the guy who keeps 2 or 3 hives on his property. It’s a fair trade. In my dad’s favor we think. Dad gets all his fruit/veg pollinated and gets 2 or 3 quart jars of honey each year. If you have someplace that could support a hive and stuff that flowers it’s something to think about. Just need to find a reliable beekeeper and make the offer of extra space for them.
