Surprisingly - even shockingly - ignorant.
Most uninsured adult Americans lack basic knowledge about President Barack Obama's signature healthcare law and haven't visited their online insurance marketplace because they think health insurance is unaffordable, according to a survey released on Thursday.
The survey from Enroll America, a non-profit healthcare enrollment coalition, found that 68 percent of uninsured adults had not yet logged onto their online exchanges.
A similar number, 69 percent of the uninsured, still lacked knowledge about tax subsidies and other financial help designed to make the Affordable Care Act, better known as Obamacare, affordable for many, the survey said.
"Large proportions of the uninsured are also still in the dark about deadlines and that brand new plans are available," Enroll America said in a report about the survey.
"A lack of facts about costs and coverage may be the greatest barriers to enrollment," it added.
The law is expected to reduce the number of uninsured in the United States by almost half, or about 25 million people, in the next 10 years.

If they thought it was unaffordable before, just wait till they see the new and improved rates!
Better to sit back and think your insurance is unaffordable than to log-on and prove it.
....and wait until they find out that with these new and improved rates, they will be getting ZEROCARE.
My sister is about as low info as they come (a Duck Dynasty voter) and the ACA was a complete mystery to her. They might as well have been trying to teach her Calculus. She eventually figured out she “couldn’t afford it” and opted for the penalty.
ObamaCare is a disaster only because the public was/is too dumb to make it work?
“....the law is expected to reduce the number of uninsured in the United States by almost half, or about 25 million people, in the next 10 years.”
the LAW seems better geared to reduce the Number Of People IN America...PERIOD!!
They can make that the new spin if they want .but that proves the point conservatives were making, that it was doomed to being a complicated and expensive bureaucratic boondoggle .
Really doesn’t help ‘em to make that spin.
Duck Dynasty voter?
Not sure how that plays into being low info. It seems more like a gratuitous swipe at the show and its fans.
What do you mean by that? Duck Dynasty fans are low-info?
I find myself less and less willing to participate in anything this country is forcing in me
If Phil Robertson tells her to vote for someone, she votes for them. Her TV tells her what to do.
I think LIVs will “get it” when they watch an episode of The Kardashians with Kim and Kanye trying to log in to the exchange.
The dumbing down of American young people has come home to roost.
“If Phil Robertson tells her to vote for someone, she votes for them. “
I could think of worse systems.
Could it be that some of the “low information”voters cannot read or write much less use a puter because they went to public schools?
They all have smart phones. They just find thinkin’ too hard. My sister will be the first to pull the “dumb ole country girl” routine although she was raised as an urban debutante.
I opted for the penalty until I logged on to another site and found out that the minimum plan will cost more than 8% of my gross TAXABLE income, making me exempt from the requirement to have medical insurance at all.
I word my seatbelt religiously until it became the law. For two years after tht I never wore it.
Are you calling fellow FReepers low-info?
