the only way to turn GPS off is to pull the battery. GPS is always on, even if the phone is OFF.

I was aware it was not totally turned off, but it does distort where I am.

Frankly, it’s nobody’s business where I drive my car. So, if I can confuse anybody who might be trying to find out, so much the better.
