Illinois raised its rural Interstate speed limit to 70 miles per hour on Wednesday, a move that Wisconsin isn't expected to adopt anytime soon.

With Illinois raising its Interstate speed limit to 70 mph, Wisconsin will become an island of sorts: Neighboring Minnesota, Michigan and Iowa already have speed limits of 70 mph for cars on rural Interstates. "

And Texas raised some of its highways to 85 MPH but then, our gov doesn't need the extra revenue.
