STOCKTON - Nearly 100 young people from six Catholic parishes peacefully sang songs, walked through the streets of downtown and prayed for immigration reform Sunday.
They held a march in the late-afternoon hours from St. Mary's Church to Dean De Carli Waterfront Square as a way to begin National Immigration Week.
"This is important because of we have a lot of families who are separated," said organizer José López, director of Pastoral Juvenil/Hispanic Youth, Young Adult & Migrant Ministries for the Diocese of Stockton. "For a lot of families, their kids are born in the United States. We want to invite Congress to give more documents to end separation of families."We have too many kids without parents, too many gangs, too much violence. The family is the key to society. These are good people. We want trust for these people. They want to live with a sense of dignity."The marchers came from St. Mary's, St. Anne's in Lodi, St. Linus and Annunciation in Stockton, St. Bernard's in Tracy and Sacred Heart in Patterson.
They held signs in English, saying, "Keep Families Together," "Thanks for the Act of Trust" and "No Separation of Families."

Let all the Catholic parishes adopt all the illegals and provide for their needs.Shifting Mexico's problems over here does nothing to fix Mexico. The Churches in Mexico should start adopting families in Mexico and keep the families home.At what point does it end ? I am sure the church will say there are another 100 million or who are good people. We want trust for these people. They want to live with a sense of dignity.Trust them with your time and money. We have illegals getting drivers licenses to drive to jobs and Americans are walking jobless. Maybe the church would like to addressed America families who are separated forever from their families due to crimes by committed illegal aliens .Their kids were in the United States too...

At what point does it end ? For the hard core dirt bags, it ends when they rename it Mexico. I think many of them, at a minimum, want Texas, Arizona, New Mexico and California back. The rest of the country is negotiable to them.

Yikes! “Nearly a hundred!” America is doomed. LOL! I wonder why they aren’t marching on their own government. Americans really don’t shive a git what they are whining about. Freeloading crybabies. We don’t need any more of them in this country. We’ve already got enough.

I just crossed the US/Canadian border (by car) last week.I crossed at one of Vermont's main crossing points which is in a small town but also at I-91.There were two border patrol cars parked right at a point *near* the I-91 station but actually in the small town. They were protecting us from those dangerous Quebecers with their French and their frogs' legs.
Meanwhile, down on our *southern* border a thousand Spanish speakers cross illegally every hour.

The headline should read:
“Catholic Parishes Campaign to Increase Pro-Abortion Voting Bloc”
Immigrants of all kinds vote about 70% for baby-killing politicians.

And the dems REALLY want them to have Texas. They need those electoral votes.

Maybe you should stop blaming the Church for the illegal immigrants.
Just because these crooks belong to a Parish doesn't make the Parish responsible for their crime.

Some years ago, the company I worked for wanted to build a large asphalt terminal in Stockton. City fathers liked what we wanted to build ( state of the art, virtually no odor.)
By the time the state air board, the county board and these “neighbors” chimed in, we built the thing in Reno.

Almost humorous this occurs in a city with one of the highest unemployment rates in Californicate. ( and there are two ways to reunify families. One being to send some more people north, yes. The other being to return some south. )

Wow, nearly 100!? Just how "near" are we talkin' here? Is 90, 95 near 100, or are they using a looser definition that say a couple dozen is "nearer" 100 than say minus infinity?
Shoot, I can put together "nearly 100" people with the promise of a few dozen free donuts.
