I am a proponent of people self-sacrificially helping those in need, Not government helping people.

The women who receive the gas cards are in need of that sort of assistance - there are various qualifiers. They also receive free wigs, free wig stands, shampoo, etc. Items that other nonprofits, businesses and individuals donate.

Learn about the organization you’re giving money to - see what they put the donations toward. If you don’t like it, don’t donate to them. Donate elsewhere. There are plenty of nonprofits and foundations to choose from.

I will add, nothing impacts a cancer patient more that having someone VOLUNTEER to guide them, listen to them, direct them to resources, while THE CURE is being researched.

I agree, I support people giving to these women who are in need with wigs, etc. I’m offended that they are trying to squeeze the churches out of charity and replace it with government handouts. My main beef is that Koman is misrepresenting their donation requests.

Find a cure. I’ve had a sister die from breast cancer and another who has it. This is not a something I’m unfamiliar with and I don’t think I don’t sympathize with what these women and families are going through, I’ve been there. My point is it urgent for a cure.

Giving gas cards, mammograms, etc. are easy things for the money to go to. Do the difficult thing because lives are in the balance.
