The bus driving Southern Illinois' basketball team home from a road game got stuck in a ditch along Interstate 57 on Sunday night. Illinois has been pounded by snow since New Year's Day. According to an ESPN report, the bus got stuck after the driver pulled off the road with hopes of waiting out the snowstorm. Once the driver tried to get the bus back on the road, it was immovable. The highway was closed at this point, and they were unable to get a tow. They likely won't get back to campus until Monday morning after taking on Illinois State on Sunday afternoon.

Keeping a good thought for their safety. Maybe al-Gore can come to the rescue.
Did they win their game?
Ah... Rt 57 & a snowstorm. Been in that situation. Southern Illinois, Wisconsin on the way to Green Bay. Many memories snowbound on that great highway.
That bad huh? Try the cascades in WA state. Skidded into a 5 foot cliff deep in the snow. If 2 dudes didn’t stop and help out, I would be in deep shiite.
“Did they win their game?”
I really hope so!

Snow-nado!
Please send a donation to algore@globalwarming.org to save these poor teens.
But, that could take years.
Act locally. Start your car and set tire on fire.
It does not matter where you are. After all, this is Global.
You can make a difference right now.
Save the team.
I don’t follow basketball, but think
I heard that they lost the game too by 20pts. or so
I only drove the Cascades in August, but I believe it gets challenging in the winter.
“I heard that they lost the game too by 20pts. or so”
That is a bad day. I hope they’ll be OK.
“Snow-nado!”
I’m in canada right now and I seriously, saw a movie on the local cable called Avalanche Sharks, and just like Sharknado, the sharks eat people at the local ski resort by using the snow as cover. I didn’t come up with the idea LOL
Snowluki’s - hope they get outta there safely!
