You need a license to watch tv in Great Britain? my first reaction to this was, “holy crap! What a fascist country”. But then I thought about it.

We should do the same thing here. you should have to pass a test, and buy a license before you are allowed to watch tv. That would solve a LOT of problems.

You can read about it in this wiki article. It’s 145.50 UK pounds per year and 49 UK pounds if you have a black and white set.
