Barack gives Michelle a magnificent birthday present

Kudos to President Obama for giving his wife a birthday present we all can envy, indeed covet. CBS News reports:

President Barack Obama is going to give his wife the birthday present that many parents can only dream of - time off, alone, without the children.

The White House said on Saturday first lady Michelle Obama would stay in Hawaii, where the family has been on vacation for the last two weeks, rather than return home with her husband and their two girls.

"As part of her birthday gift from the president, the first lady will remain in Hawaii to spend time with friends ahead of her upcoming 50th birthday," a White House official said.

Just imagine for a moment if President Obama would agree to leave the rest of us alone. How wonderful would that be? He does have it within his power to make the gift to Americans permanent, too. Rumor has it that either his presidential library or presidential foundation will be set-up in Honolulu, so an early retirement to the balmy shores of Oahu would be a great gift to Americans, indeed to all humanity. How about it, Barack? Maybe on our birthday, the Fourth of July, you could bestow this gift.

However, it is hard to read this story without wondering if there is a wee bit of trouble between Mr. and Mrs. Obama. In its December 30, 2013 issue, the National Enquirer featured a cover story entitled, "Obama Marriage Explodes!"

No, I just noticed that she was suddenly slimmer, compared to 5 years ago. It never occurred to me that she might have undergone liposuction on some of her problem areas until somebody mentioned it here.

I have been married for 24 years and I have never with the exception of 1 night ladies retreat desired to vacation away from my family. Its not like she home schools, very strange.

Define "my family". I love my in-laws, but two weeks in Orlando during the summer with 4 or 5 sisters-in-law (all taking after their strong willed mother)...I paid my dues...lol, and they do ok without me being there.

BTW, where's the "Barf Alert" for this thread? These last 3 years of Obama are going to be Chinese water torture.

THE OHAHAS LIVE LIKE BILLIONAIRES ON OUR DIME---NRO tallied what taxpayers are paying for the Ohaha's to live large on the taxpayers' dime: a grand total of $1.4 billion per year:

Air Force One ($181,757 per hour), executive chef ($100,000 per year), three full-time White House calligraphers ($277,050 per year for the trio), chief of staff to the president’s dog ($102,000 per year), Ohaha's royal motorcade ($2.2 million). $100 million alone for the African apology tour.

==========================================

$1.4 BILLION is the current annual cost of the White House — just in household expenses, not including US policy operations for which the WH exists-- administered by some 900 parasites--- policy staff recruited by Ohaha.

There's the $100 million trip to Africa not including the foreign aid billions he handed out to these oil-rich satraps. Serial Ohaha vacations cost taxpayers millions---- (the low estimate for Ohaha's last Hawaii vacay was $4 million, but the true cost is probably five times that); Mrs o spent $3900 PER NIGHT in the Grace Kelly suite in Ireland PLUS 30 more rooms for her entourage.

Grace Kelly hotel suite.

=======================================

AND GET THIS---TAXPAYERS SUFFERED RUINOUS HEALTHCARE CANCELLATIONS--BUT THEY PAY $7 MILLION FOR THE OBAMAS HEALTHCARE---NRO found the first family’s yearly health-care costs Americans $7 million; the reason why Boobamba himself was "enrolled" last month --and not his family.

===========================================================

More than $6 million is spent on the White House grounds each year. Transportation costs were a staggering $346 million last year.

The O' kids were flying around to the Bahamas and Sun Valley.....while US kids were shut out of the WH supposedly due to sequestration Secret Service cutbacks. The O's galivanting teen daughter was spotted in NYC---with girlfriends---dining at the pricey Buddakan, scoffing up rock shrimp, edamame dumplings, short ribs, lobster fried rice........replete w/ five Secret Service guards dining nearby, while students her age were denied access to the people's house.

=============================================

Mrs O wore her pricey diamond bangles (bought on a govt salary?) at a DNC fund-raiser, attended by "tolerant and compassionate" Dems....raised big bucks to keep Mr O in office so he could work for "the poor." Her diamond Gothic cuff priced at $15,350 set with 2.17 carats in diamonds and the Quatrefoil bracelet at $11,800 set with 1.73 carats in diamonds. (Excerpt) Read more at houston.culturemap.com.

Mrs O wowed all the "tolerant and compassionate" Dems who hate the rich and support endless tax-paid programs "for the poor."

===============================================

Mrs O has 24 assistants at her beck and call.
Her wardrobe, nails and hair are subsidized w/ US tax dollars.

I love my pre-schooler dearly, but I do love the once a year that hubby sends me to a local weekend scrapbook retreat. It gives me a chance to relax and have plenty of adult company, catch up on my scrapbooks and such. But I can't imagine just staying in Hawaii for a week or more without them. I guess that's how "the other half" lives.

What did you expect form someone who 'would not burden his daughter with a child' or words to that effect?

These people (and Liberals in general) view children as a 'burden' and not the blessing of posterity they are.

But then, children are like life. Often the results reflect the effort invested.
