Bunch of wimps, when I went to grade school in Arlington
Heights we walked all the time, sometimes the snow
would be piled up on either side of the side walk to
where it looked like walking down a white hall way.
I remember having our Halloween parade around the play
ground in snow 3” deep.
Course things were different in “those” days.
Three inches of snow for Halloween?
This is a different time and it's Chicago with the high murder rate, kids getting shot at, yadda, yadda, yadda.
Im sure in -20 wind chill, right?
I walked to school in some rough weather here in Michigan. I would not let my kids out in this cold just to prove some point.
I'm frankly glad I don't have to battle the -15 temperatures tomorrow getting to work and worrying if my global warming causing, gas guzzling SUV is going to start so I can get home at the end of the day.
And here I spent all day yesterday in my garage changing out the batteries (yes, plural) cleaning my fuel injection system and checking the fluids, belts and hoses.......
Of course, in Guantanamo Bay, we never had any. Hurricanes, sure. But no snow or ice.

It isn’t the snow, Mr. Macho. It’s the icy cold of -15 degrees as the high (meaning even colder in the morning) on Monday, along with 22 mph winds, making the wind chill factor even much worse. Use your head, not your testosterone.
