Ooo, the Germans DO make good cars. In fact, really all they do is make cars.
Well, your mother will pass. Mine did last June. She was 94 years old. I can't blame her prejudices as we all have them. She did eat copious amounts of Japanese food. So, her prejudices didn't run THAT deep.
Also one could always use the bathroom at a Japanese restaurant because they were clean, clean, clean...the COMPLETE opposite at Chinese restaurants.
At Chinese restaurants one NEVER sits by the wall as one will see the cockroaches crawling up the wall. The Chinese will NOT spend money on cleanliness. I used to sit in the CENTER of the room, as far away from those filthy little critters. Now I eschew them altogether.
Since the Japanese originally came from China, my theory of their cleanliness, the ANTITHESIS of clean, is this: I surmised that one day a Chinese general or other big shot arrived in Japan, saw it, conquered it and decided to have a CLEAN conquest. So he initiated the famous Japanese BATH.
The entire family bathes together..but showers and scrubs before getting into the communal tub. HOW DIFFERENT is that from the Chinese point of view?
My dad fought the Germans in WWII, but he drove Volskswagens his whole life. I learned to drive on a Volkswagen.
