The US is not a democracy, it is a representative republic.

The problem is that our representatives are more interested in what affects them personally and ignore the people for whom they work (i.e., us).

we were originally created as a Republic, but now we are basically a Democracy for all intents and purposes, which is why things are so messed up and we need a strong leader to take charge, throw all the commies in jail and restore our republic by restricting voting to only those who have earned the privilege
