It can only be a good thing to eliminate ethanol, period.

citing fears that corn-based fuel production mandates will harm livestock producers.

Uh politicians, how about the production mandates hurting consumers??

We don’t have a single vehicle that is 2001 or later. We have to drive quite a distance for “marine” gas (non ethanol)

Those that jumped on the ethanol bandwagon knew the ride was going to be short.

I have no sympathy for the 'losers'

If they were really smart, they took their profits and invested in underground fuel tanks, entire home generators and MRE's

I’m not sure most people realize how damaging Ethanol is to most vehicles, especially the engine. Mandating the e85 blend is just insanity.

Another meddling Feral Government boondoggle that has cost taxpayers billions of dollars (Maybe hundreds of billions) to waste energy in production of ethanol, reduce auto mileage, damage car engines and increase the cost of food.

But the corn and ethanol producers love the government subsidies which is nothing more than corporate welfare by politicians for their crony capitalist pals.

Burning food for fuel is very stupid. Raised world food prices and starved a lot of people.

I have had my tag line for a long time.

I hate that ethanol and it takes more energy to produce it than it produces. All it did was give the corn growers an outlet

As I have said before, there is a place for ethanol. But the “Boondoggle” over the blending credit has created a bubble.

All renewable energy is that way. There is a place for biodiesal also, but mandating it drives the market upside down.

Huh, stopped clock and all that...

Everybody was happy when corn was less than $2 a bushel, except for the farmers going broke.

The use of ethanol for fuel instead of food is insane. To discontinue its mandated production may result in significantly lower food prices, which benefits our nation far more than producing ethanol to reduce are already low fuel imports.

What would also drive fuel costs lower is to offer incentives for oil refineries to build more plants. So many have shut down that the price of fuel is artificially high, and always borderline to shortage.

Remove ethanol from our gas and:

1. better running engines with improved mileage
2. gas prices will improve
3. food prices will improve

so, what’s the problem?? Get ethanol off our back!!
