It’s iffy (it’s basically a swath east of Raleigh). Bob Ethridge had it for the longest and just recently got replaced by a Republican. I don’t think most voters would vote Clay Aiken. Most NC folks finally figured out what would happen if you vote for a candidate that has no experience and is just a popularity vote (like our president)

....And I think that other than for the famous “reseach triangle”, NC is pretty much is conservative.
