President Obama hit the links and enjoyed high temps in Hawaii as a massive blizzard bore down on much of the Midwest and the Northeast, and meteorologists predict the storm could tie traffic, cut power and give headaches to 40 million or so Americans.

Hey, so long as obamaramadingdong and his family can vacation and relax on the taxpayers dime while the rest of America struggles to survive it’s OK.
He deserves this fun and relaxation, fighting for ‘the middle class’ is tiring.
Everyone have affordable health care yet?
I just remembered - Snowmageddon! What happened to that? Now it’s Snowzilla! Was there also a snowcopolypse?
Ridiculous. Just 4 years ago they didn’t come up with all this name and nickname hooplah, and that was 1 of the biggest ever.
I wish Pele (the Hawaiian god of volcanos, not the soccer player) would erupt a volcano and cover the Obamas with lava.
Is that a urinal holder next to the Usurper?
We got dusted with snow this evening must be the
lower edge of the storm.
Dahlonega Ga. 20 degrees now.
It is a snow storm. We in the Midwest get them all the time, and we don’t go bleating on CNN about how bad it is.
This is a local issue, not a national one. The TPOTUS doesn’t need to be involved, other than it makes golf hard.
I do have one question. In every Midwestern and Western state I have lived in, everyone runs to the store and buys bread and milk before it hits. Doesn’t matter where you came from (a Korean friend of mine did it in college, thinking there was some sort of cultural mandate to do so). Yet most of the time it is not needed. We buy groceries ahead anyway, and a few days stuck at home isn’t a big deal. Does the same thing happen out East?
My little sister was the result of the ‘78 storm hitting Nebraska. I came from the blizzard of 1974.
Another one of those Midwestern traditions that I suspect is worldwide. When the snow hits, you find ways to pass the time.
“...everyone runs to the store and buys bread and milk before it hits...Does the same thing happen out East?”
Yes, absolutely. That is a cute story about your Korean friend, btw.
Today hubby and I went to do our “emergency” shopping, we bought 3 kinds of bread, milk (even though we don’t need it, and a gallon because I guess hubby was in full storm anxiety mode), chips, dip and 2 kinds of cookies!
This happened after the attacks of 9/11/01 too and some were mocked for it. But I had no food and I was tasked with “rescuing” my friend’s elderly mom, as neither daughter could get to her. And I had to go to the weirdo supermarket because the A & P parking lot was filled with people who were blocked from crossing the Bridge between Bayonne, NJ and Staten Island, NY.
It was the only time I was in that store, such a surreal day.
I was going to say I guess it’s just some atavistic scarcity fear, but I read the thing written by the guy over at Glenn Beck’s The Blaze, about how he got frozen in for over 3 days in Dallas, and really did have no food. He had to risk his neck to get some, I had no idea an ice storm could hang around that long.
Stay safe!
Gosh, I hope FEMA gets here soon with the pizza. I’m starving.
Pretty much. Carts full of bread, milk, eggs and TP. Sometimes HUGE amounts of one or more of the four.
If you are actually there doing your normal non storm-panic-driven shopping, it's somewhere between amusing and annoying.
Forecast high of -20 on Sunday here in God’s Country. Right now I think God is mad at us.
It was PACKED. We are expecting -25 F over the weekend, and people want to get their shopping done so they don't have to go outside.
It was NUTS!
As for running out of food. I grew up in the country, so I can't honestly picture that. We have two chest freezers, filled with meat and veggies. Not to mention the canned carrots and red sauce. We may run out of milk, but I have never ran out of food. The closest I have ever gotten was in college where we ended up eating Chef Boradi (sp) for a few days because we ran out of money.
But in the city, I can see it being an issue. My sister lives in Chicago, and they don't have the room for the type of food storage that we do.
He just has a unique sense of humor.
Remember that boat stuck in the ice? It was a cruise packed with climatologists going down to study global warming.
God is funny.
“Just trying to get some yogurt...”
You are lucky you weren’t shopping at our local grocery store. The yogurt was almost all gone! Don’t know what flavors were left, but certainly the most unpopular ones. All kinds, sold out!
Also, the eggs were almost gone, all that remained of the Eggland’s Best were a few opened carton, all with at least one broken egg. We were able to buy the store brand, so that was OK for us.
Some of the produce and bread was also in skimpy supply. I don’t know if some of their deliveries got stuck out west due to weather or if folks just went nuts purchasing.
We have all that we need food wise, and we thank the Good Lord, and our hardy workers at Shoprite!
“the press makes a big deal of nothing 24/7 because they have no news but a little snowfall”
There is plenty of news that should be headlined but it does not fit their agenda.
Just when is that lazy, self-centered, Marxist going to get back to the job WE THE PEOPLE are PAYING him to do? How I hope the Republicans gain control of the Senate and maintain control of the House. Impeach and convict the bleeder so he can do what he’s doing in that picture as much as his black communistic heart wants to.
HA HA LOL!
Hey Sandrat have you see trailor for Godzilla reboot oh yeah I am going see it LOL!
