Because she’s documented as being in an insurance pricing club, they hit her with the “list” price of $500. The insured cost—even if it’s not covered by the deductible, might be $100 or $150.

X-rays are digital now. Probably cost $1.10 in electricity & computer memory to do. Machinery cost is extra.
That being true, she could get 49 or so more X-rays and still have to pay for all of them .... of course, only at the lower negotiated rate!!!!!!
